Compassvale resident hoards items along corridor -- and even stuffs them in riser
A resident at Block 299C Compassvale Street is pushing boundaries with the space that they are occupying – literally.
Stomper Jac said her second-floor neighbour has been "hoarding" items along the common corridor and even placing personal belongings in the riser.
This has been going on ever since Jac moved in 10 years ago, she told Stomp.
Photos that she shared show bicycles lining the corridor, as well as the riser filled with household items.
Jac said: "This particular unit has been hoarding four to five bicycles and unused containers, with shoes and socks strewn across the corridor. They have even stuffed all their unused items in the riser, treating it as a storeroom.
"The unit is right next to the lift landing. May I ask what is going to happen if there is an emergency and a stretcher can't even pass through since all their items are hoarded there?
"I have been sending feedback to Sengkang Town Council for years, but they have done nothing effective.
"All they do is paste a notice of removal by a certain date but after the due date is up, Sengkang Town Council does nothing to remove all the unwanted items."
Jac said she has also written to various Members of Parliament (MPs), but reiterated that "nothing has been done as well".
Stomp has contacted Sengkang Town Council for more info.
